Integral Reader privacy policy
Effective October 7, 2026 · Published by Integral LLC · Questions: support@int3gral.com
Integral Reader does not collect, transmit or share your data. Everything it handles stays in your browser.
What the extension handles
- Page content. When you click the toolbar icon, the extension reads the article text, title, byline and site name from that page to build the reader view. It is held temporarily in your browser's session storage so the reader tab can display it, and it is cleared when you close the browser. It is never sent anywhere.
- Settings. Your typeface, size, spacing, column width and toggle choices are saved with your browser's sync storage. If you have browser sync turned on, your browser may copy them to your other devices. Integral LLC never receives them.
- Timed-read log. When you finish a timed read, the extension saves the date and time, your words per minute, whether boustrophedon mode was on, the word count and the article's title. This stays on your device in local storage, and only the newest 500 entries are kept.
- Pasted text. Text you paste into the reader is displayed and not saved.
What we don't do
No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no cookies, no trackers, no remote code. We do not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone, and we do not use it for anything other than showing you the reader view and your own reading log.
Your control
The Clear log button in the reader deletes your timed-read log. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your device.
Third-party code
Article extraction uses Mozilla's Readability library (Apache 2.0). It is bundled inside the extension and runs on your device.
Chrome Web Store user data policy
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
